It has a cult following for a reason. It has some of the freshest donuts and best flavor I've ever had. I would recommend placing an order ahead if you would like to make sure they have all of the donut flavors you want. The workers are friendly as well. Would highly recommend the strawberries and cream donut and the cinnamon roll/bun

My daughter and I have made it a "hobby" to visit random donut shops wherever we go. We love discovering everything from small independent bakeries to places that have become famous through pop culture or social media. Even on vacation, we always try to find at least one local donut shop. We drove a little over an hour to visit Country Donuts, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The prices are incredibly reasonable—much lower than the chain shops most people are used to—and the quality is outstanding. Their donut holes are legendary, about the size of a golf ball, and every donut we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, patient, and happy to let us take our time while deciding what to order. The shop itself isn't the biggest, but that's part of its charm. If you're a donut fan, Country Donuts deserves a spot on the Donut Mount Rushmore. 😉

I hate to give anything less than a 5 star review to this establishment as they usually provide absolute stellar food, drinks and customer service. My most recent visit was eye-opening in a negative way, however. The tall African American employee was extremely rude and over the top unprofessional. I'd ordered an apple fritter and 1 other donut. As I drove off, I saw that I was given a cinnamon roll instead of an apple fritter. This was the 2nd time this had unfortunately happened, so I brought the apple fritter back and nicely asked for what I'd ordered...an apple fritter. The same staff member grabbed the cinnamon roll out of my hand, gave me a terrible look and made sure I saw him throw the cinnamon roll in the garbage. The extremely rude comments he said to me as he grabbed the cinnamon roll out of my hand was what made me write this review. This is what he said "I know what you ordered as it was me who took your order. You ordered a cinnamon roll and a danish". He then repeated that and said "you ordered a cinnamon roll and coffee cake". It was like he was back peddling and forgot the lie he said to me. I don't use the word danish and especially not coffee cake as they don't e

Today is Father’s Day, and there was a line out the door. It’s been many years since I lived close enough to get donuts from here so now that I’m back, it was a real pleasure. I didn’t mind waiting in line chit chatting with the other patrons. These are the best donuts I’ve had in Illinois for sure and maybe the best I’ve had anywhere!

Nothing on this earth is quite as comforting as fresh donuts. My only complaint is I noticed delicious pastries displayed under the counter after making my selection. Will be back for more! Thanks for being open 24 hours!
